BKD

Description:

Control of water quality is the key factor for a successful shrimp & Fish culture. Sanitizers play a vital role in control of pathogens such as bacteria, protozoa, fungi and viruses.

Iodophors are a stabilized form of iodine and are used world-wide as disinfectants in aquaculture. Iodophors are effective against a wide range of bacteria and viruses. An example of this class is Povidone

Quaternary ammonium compounds (e.g., benzalkonium chloride) are cationic surfactants used as “topical disinfectants” to remove ectoparasites from fish. They have detergent and antibacterial activity and are used widely to treat bacterial, protozoan and monogenean infections. They are also recommended as bactericides and fungicides in shrimp culture and hatcheries.

BKD is a blend of Povidone and benzalkonium chloride which will effectively control pathogens infecting both fish & prawn
